Our telephone answering service, includes messaging and appointment scheduling, all built and delivered on a cloud-based platform serving clients globally.

We provide our clients with the professional image of a true receptionist experience, no more answering machines or unreliable voice mails.  We keep costs to a minimum and save our clients time and money.  As one of our Virtual Receptionists you will be a vital cog in the OfficeHQ model. Not only will you represent OfficeHQ to our clients, but you will also be representing those clients too.

The opportunity

  • Ongoing roles:  We have an ongoing recruitment cycle for receptionists in work-from-home roles.
  • Training:  5 business days from 8.30am to 5.00pm (paid).
  • Hours: Full-time. We operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will be 7.5 hours long.
  • Salary:  Ranging from $49,810 to $50,235 including discretionary incentives, plus upskilling bonus, WFH allowance and penalty rates for after-hours and weekend work. Additional 11% superannuation applies.
  • Multiple roles:  We are currently seeking 10 receptionists in work-from-home roles.
  • Training:  5 business days from 8.30am to 5.00pm (paid).
  • Hours: Full-time. We operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will be 7.5 hours long, during the hours of 10.00am to 10.00pm daily.
  • Salary:  Ranging from $49,810 to $50,235 including discretionary incentives, plus upskilling bonus, WFH allowance and penalty rates for after-hours and weekend work. Additional 11% superannuation applies.
  • Commencement date: Training begins Monday, 19th May 2023.

What you will be doing

  • Professionally handling inbound calls for our clients.
  • Promptly and efficiently taking and relaying messages to clients, whilst providing a positive firm image of the company.
  • Offering a warm phone presence, generally smiling and being friendly and helpful.
  • Whilst always being aligned to our culture and company values.

Attributes you must possess

  • Someone with prior experience working in a busy contact centre or receptionist setting, such as medical reception, would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent speaking voice and telephone manner, common sense (and lots of it!) A sense of humour and a resilient nature always helps.
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills and experience with online technologies eg Office 365, Microsoft Teams and eLearning platforms, is essential.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy (sound spelling skills).
  • Desire for ongoing learning.
  • Adapt and adjust to changing work environments.
  • Reliable team player with a  helpful and positive attitude.
  • Take pride in the quality of your work in providing a positive client experience.

What you will need:

  • A quiet home environment with a dedicated, private and safe home office.
  • Designated office chair.
  • Adequate lighting
  • A PC with internal or external webcam capability.

  • Browser: Up-to-date version of Google Chrome
  • CPU specifications: Intel i5 or Ryzen 5
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Monitor Specification: Minimum screen size of 19 inches diagonally
  • Screen Resolution: Minimum 1920 x 1080
  • Headset: Supplied headset by the company needs to be able to connect into a computer via a USB or a microphone jack
  • Ability to obtain a landline number from your ISP

NBN requirements:

  • Hard wired connection to your modem/router
